Beginning with a couple of word lists, I found a sailor theme which is where I took the brand identity. In my research I found a deep connection between sailing and tattoos which was perfect for my parlor. Below is the process I took to find the visuals of the logo after researching themes of sailing, sea monsters, and tattoo culture in general and finding a way to connect them all in this brand.
